“For the past twenty years my major preoccupation has been describing and defining space through the manipulation of color, as a practicing member of the abstract-expressionist generation. This was replaced by a system based on the arrangement of geometric and architectonic shapes and recently modified though the use of contemporary technology; i.e., the computer. The current pieces explore new ceramic technology and are the first work of art produced using digitally printed images employing ceramic glazes”
In the summer of 2002, Bruce Breckenridge was awarded a research grant by the School of Education, Department of Fine Art of the University of Wisconsin at Madison to investigate and produce works of fine art in the ceramic media using our Digital Ceramic Decal Process.
